Blogging from A to Z

A: About Me

Today is the start of the 2013 Blogging from A to Z Challenge, and I figured that since there will be a lot of new visitors to my blog, I’d be wildly creative and write up an “about me.” (Speaking of which, welcome to my blog! You came for the visit, but hopefully you’ll stay for the crushes on men both fictional and dead.)

Obligatory Biographical Paragraph: I’m a twenty-something young adult and new adult fantasy writer/substitute teacher/retail minion/recovering history major. I used to spend a lot of time hanging out with dead people (see: recovering history major), but now I spend most of my time hanging out with adolescents, Canadians (see: retail minion), and fictional people. I’m currently finishing up revisions on a YA fantasy novel that’s a cross between Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones, and I’m doing Camp NaNo this month so I’ll also be working on a NA dystopian fantasy loosely inspired by the Spanish Inquisition.

A Collection of Stereotypes: I live in Washington State, so I have a mild plaid addiction and a not-so-mild coffee habit. I also reject umbrellas on principle, wear shorts and t-shirts once it hits 50 degrees, and jam to “Thrift Shop” at least thrice a day. And, of course, I have an obscene number of blue and green items of clothing in my wardrobe, reserve jeans for special occasions, and rock a Washington tan (i.e. sunburn) like no one’s business.

This is my backyard. Sort of.
This is my backyard. Sort of.

TL;DR: This Game of Thrones house quiz tells me I’m House Tagaryen, which tells you pretty much everything you need to know.

Welcome! I look forward to visiting everyone’s blogs this month!

  1. Hello, Stephanie! Okay, so I’m hardly a newcomer, but there are things here I didn’t know about you, so this was nice. Have a great A-to-Z this month! 🙂

  2. You’re writing projects fasciniate me… Hurry up and sell those babies, would you? 🙂

A fellow Washingtonian, I am capable of tanning, but I do share your affinity for plaid, and green and blue.

Good luck with the A-Z Challenge!
